Happy New Year

The New Year is a cause of celebration – to look back into the year gone by and for looking ahead to a time of new beginnings. A lot can happen in a year and sending across your heartfelt messages for a happy New Year to your loved ones, can make all the difference.

The year 2020 has been a year the mysterious novel coronavirus hit humanity. India went to lockdown to stop the spread of infections. Restrictions were imposed in every corner. Transport was suspended, night curfews were imposed, mass gatherings prohibited, and businesses were shut, leaving lakhs jobless. Indeed this pandemic has taught us to be resilient, courageous and patient. We learned to prioritize things. Well there is always something good behind everything. This was a good year for the environment as well as the animals. With fewer vehicles on roads and the mindless cutting of trees came to a stop, the environment healed in the most beautiful ways. Pollution decreased and people were able to see clearly too far off places was one of the most exciting things during the dreadful lockdown.

Despite everything the year showed us what possibilities are and pushes us continuously. That is possible for everyone to learn cooking in a few weeks, to live in a village and still work for a MNC, that the air in Delhi can be clear if we want to, and that developing vaccines in less than 12 months is possible. So, the year introduced us to possibilities. And the last day of the year also showed a positive market index where Nifty ended flat at 13,981 while Sensex settled marginally higher at 47,751. In this year Nifty rose 15% which is its best performance in three consecutive years and also for the first time Nifty hit 14000 levels in Intra-day.

Let the old year end and the New Year begin with the warmest of aspirations. Happy New Year!
